Wellness NAADAP Team Lead

The Paul First Nation NNADAP program supports community designed and operated projects in the area of
alcohol abuse prevention, treatment and interaction, prescription and illicit drug abuse, and solvent abuse in
order to arrest and reverse the present destructive, physical, mental social, and economic trends. The high levels
of drug abuse among on reserve population’s contribution to the burden of disease and harm associated with
continued use. The alcohol and drug abuse results in economic loss, disability, suffering and death and requires
the most effective, culturally relevant continuum of services possible.

Medical Transportation NIHB Coordinator

The Medical Transportation/NIHB Coordinator will report directly to the Paul Band Health Director to ensure that
all activities required to fulfill the objectives set out in Non Insured Medical Transportation Policies and guidelines
are carried out and that the medical transportation requirements of the Paul First Nation community members
who qualify for assistance according to NIHB standards are met. The Medical Transportation/NIHB Coordinator
will work collaboratively with the Paul First Nation Health Team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Peacemaker worker will provide the assistance to individuals in the community
of Paul First Nation and referral through phone calls, emails and online chat services (if applicable). Information
and referral people to connect to non-emergency social, health and community services. The position provides
information, assistance and liaison to people, while advocating, gathering statistics for reporting; and assists in
various ways with the activities of the information and referral. The Peacemaker worker provides information
directly for those individuals while assessing what they need and utilizes questioning/probing skills to determine
the needs of individuals, family and community. Peacemaker Team are NOT First Responders but second
responders after RCMP/EMS have responded first.
